About the Company
A specialist subcontractor working across ground preparation, remediation, and earthworks projects within the residential and infrastructure sectors is looking for an experienced CDM Site Manager to join their team on a freelance basis.

The Role
You’ll take ownership of on-site safety, quality, and compliance, ensuring that all works are delivered in line with CDM Regulations and company HSEQ procedures. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone confident in managing complex remediation and groundwork operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily site operations and ensure compliance with CDM and company safety standards

Coordinate subcontractors, plant, and materials to meet programme requirements

*

Lead site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings

*

Maintain RAMS, permits, and daily records

*

Liaise with project and HSEQ teams to drive site performance and compliance

*

Ensure environmental controls and remediation procedures are followed precisely

About You

*

Proven experience managing remediation or earthworks projects

*

SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid certification

*

Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and on-site H&S requirements

*

Confident communicator who can coordinate multiple trades and disciplines

*

Available for site-based work in Hertfordshire and surrounding areas

Rate & Duration

£325 per day (Ltd Company / outside IR35)
