The Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) plays a vital role in ensuring effective communication and support for residents during cladding and façade remediation works. Acting as the key link between residents, contractors, and the project delivery team, the RLO ensures residents are fully informed, safe, and supported throughout all stages of the works. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, managing expectations, and ensuring minimal disruption during essential safety improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for residents throughout the cladding remediation project.

Communicate clearly and sensitively about works programmes, timeframes, and the impact on residents’ homes and daily lives.

*

Conduct resident profiling and pre-start visits to identify individual needs, vulnerabilities, and specific access requirements.

*

Coordinate access to homes, balconies, and communal areas for surveys, inspections, and works.

*

Provide residents with accurate and timely information regarding noise, scaffolding, restricted access, and safety arrangements.

*

Support vulnerable residents with additional needs, ensuring appropriate support measures are in place.

*

Manage and resolve resident queries, complaints, and concerns quickly and professionally.

*

Prepare and distribute resident newsletters, notices, and other communications to keep the community informed.

*

Organise and attend resident engagement meetings, Q&A sessions, and drop-in events.

*

Work closely with site management, client representatives, and local authorities to ensure resident welfare and safety are prioritised.

*

Maintain accurate records of all communications, visits, complaints, and resolutions.

*

Support post-project resident satisfaction surveys and contribute to lessons learned for continuous improvement.
