Location: London
Salary: £65,000-£75,000 + car allowance + benefits

We're supporting a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure and engineering projects across the UK. They're looking to appoint an experienced Planner to support both tender and project delivery teams, developing robust programmes and ensuring accurate scheduling, resource management, and progress reporting across high-profile transport, rail, tunnelling, and energy schemes.

This role will suit a detail-driven planner who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys working across both pre-construction and live project phases, and can confidently influence delivery strategy through effective planning.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project and tender programmes using Primavera P6
Provide accurate progress updates, critical path analysis, and forecasts to support decision-making
Work closely with bid and tender teams to prepare technical submissions and programme narratives
Resource and cost load programmes to support commercial and delivery planning
Evaluate supply chain programmes and integrate them into master schedules
Support construction teams with short-term and recovery programmes as required
Analyse and report programme risks, opportunities, and change impactsExperience & Background

Proven experience in planning major infrastructure or civil engineering projects (rail, tunnelling, highways, or energy)
Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and outputs
Advanced user of Primavera P6 (able to mentor others desirable)
Solid grasp of commercial and contractual planning requirements
Experience contributing to tender planning and bid strategy
