Job Title: Site Manager – Retail Fit-Out (National)
Salary: £60,000 + comprehensive package (car allowance, travel expenses, bonus, pension, etc.)
Location: National (UK-wide travel required)
Reports To: Contracts/Project Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of retail projects across the UK. You will be responsible for managing multiple refurbishment, fit-out, and new-build projects from site setup through to handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
This is a national role involving regular travel and occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day site operations for retail fit-out and refurbishment projects nationwide.

Manage subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and safely.

Oversee all site documentation including RAMS, daily diaries, permits, and progress reports.

Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
*
Liaise closely with clients, project managers, and design teams to ensure clear communication and satisfaction throughout the project.

Monitor progress against programme, budgets, and specifications, proactively addressing any risks or delays.

Manage site logistics, deliveries, and temporary works.
*
Ensure all snagging, commissioning, and handover documentation is completed to client requirements.
Key Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering retail, fit-out, or refurbishment projects nationwide.
*
Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations, H&S legislation, and construction best practices.
*
SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold card), and First Aid certification essential.
*
Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
*
Ability to travel extensively and manage multiple live sites.
*
Full UK driving licence.
