Senior Civils Engineer
Reporting to: Principal and above
Shifts: Days, Full time
* Strictly minimum 3-days per week.
* Normal office hours shall be adhered to when working from home.
* May be required to ensure appropriate co-ordination and fulfilment of training and dissemination expectations.
Generations People are excited to be recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer that will join the Civil Engineering team to assist with design projects from inception to completion.
They will work within a team of engineers and technicians and mentor technicians and junior engineers reporting to the departmental Director and/or Senior Engineers within the Civil Engineering
Technical Skills Required:
* Be proficient in Drainage and Infrastructure Design, including earthworks analysis.
* Have a thorough understanding of Adoption Procedures
* Have experience of Flood Risk Assessments and Report Writing, including knowledge of PPS 25, the FEH and ISIS (or hydraulic modelling software).
* Be computer literate with a working knowledge of AutoCAD, PDS and Micro Drainage.
Qualifications:
* A Senior Civil Engineer will have a good degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of three years relevant post-graduation experience and be working towards chartered status.
Training:
* All employees shall ensure that they maintain a contemporary knowledge of the relevant systems, methods and procedures.
* Employees may be required to attend external courses from time-to-time.
* Health and Safety awareness training, first aid training is essential for the role.
Driving & Travel:
* Employees may/will be required to travel (e.g. to site, third party business addresses, etc).
* Travel/attendance may be outside of ‘normal’ business hours.
A valid driving licence is considered essential or the role.
* The client will endeavour to provide a ‘pool’ vehicle where out of office work is required. However, this may not always be possible
