Are you practical, disciplined, and safety-focused? A leading UK foundation testing company is looking for a Pile Integrity Test Engineer to join their team, conducting vital structural tests across Southern UK sites.
This role is ideal for ex-military personnel — particularly from Royal Engineers, REME, RAF, or Royal Navy technical or logistics trades — who want to apply their skills in a civilian career with structured training, autonomy, and career growth.
The Role
You’ll carry out pile integrity testing using Sonic Echo and Transient Dynamic Response (TDR) methods with handheld TECO equipment. Most work is within the M25 area, but occasional travel across the UK may be required.
* Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting on-site integrity tests using advanced equipment.
* Liaising with site agents to confirm pile positions and review drawings.
* Completing detailed job sheets and submitting them for processing.
* Working independently from a home base using a company-provided van, with fuel card for work travel.
* Overnight stays for projects as operational needs dictate.
