Civils / Structural CAD Technician

We're working with a specialist engineering business who support major steel and construction projects across the UK. They are looking to add a Civil/Structural CAD Technician to their Skelmersdale based team due to continued project demand and growth.

The Role

You'll be responsible for producing and amending technical drawings, supporting structural design coordination and ensuring accuracy across project documentation. Key tasks include:

* Producing layout drawings and technical details using AutoCAD
* Updating drawings following feedback from engineers and architects
* Liaising with steelwork contractors and design professionals to maintain alignment
* Managing technical documentation and project portals such as 4Projects, Asite or Aconex
* Creating and checking material schedules and cut lists
* Issuing and archiving design-related documents

Requirements

* Minimum 1 year AutoCAD experience in a construction or engineering environment
* Understanding of structural or civil drawings beneficial
* Knowledge of Tekla or Revit advantageous
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Able to work to deadlines and manage workload effectively
* Minimum 5 GCSEs including Maths and English
* Level 4 construction or engineering qualification preferred
