Site Manager – London – Commercial

A leading main contractor delivering high-quality commercial and mixed-use projects across the UK is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the cladding and scaffolding packages on a flagship London development.

This 20-week contract offers the chance to join a highly regarded project team known for delivering technically complex builds to the highest safety and quality standards. You’ll play a key role in managing subcontractors, driving progress on site, and ensuring all facade and access works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with design and programme requirements.

Responsibilities

* Package Oversight

Manage all cladding and scaffolding activities on site, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with design drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

* Site Coordination

Lead daily site operations and coordination between subcontractors, design teams, and project management to maintain smooth progress and address issues proactively.

* Health, Safety & Compliance

Champion site safety standards, carrying out regular inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks, ensuring all scaffold and façade activities adhere to legal and company HSEQ requirements.

* Quality Assurance & Reporting

Monitor workmanship and material standards, maintain accurate documentation, progress updates, and QA records to support seamless package handover.

* Programme Management

Track progress against project milestones, identify potential delays, and work with the wider project team to maintain programme targets and productivity levels.

Requirements

Must have 5+ years in a similar position focusing on cladding/facade aspects of construction projects

Must be based within a commutable distance of London

Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
