Buildings Surveyor
Time 4 Recruitment have an opportunity for a Temporary Building Surveyor for two weeks work to start ASAP !! located in Birmingham city centre working for a well-established, main contractor in the UK. Our client specialises in key construction projects including new build and refurbishments of hotel and leisure, commercial, industrial, health and education.
As Temporary Buildings Surveyor you will have experience working on a range of commercial contracts RC frame multi storey ideally student accommodation, high rise residential properties, hotels etc.
As Temporary Building Surveyor you will be required to measure up as-built rooms and corridors. You will need able to mark up on a drawing the recorded as built dimensions.
Key duties and responsibilities
* To measure as build surveys of internal all the internal rooms and corridors
* Mark up on drawing the recorded as build Dimensions
* Identifying and diagnosing defects and providing reports on required repairs and shagging
* Assess the suitability and quality of construction work undertaken by internal and external contractors.
* Work collaboratively with other departments and external partners to deliver projects and maintain the property portfolio effectively.
Skills and qualifications
* A degree or equivalent in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
* Chartered Status with a relevant professional body, such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), is highly desirable.
* Proven post-qualification experience as a Building Surveyor, with a strong background in building pathology and diagnosing defects.
* Knowledge of construction technology, building regulations, and relevant health and safety legislation.
* Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and other specialist industry software.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with both internal and external
* contractors
Benefits:
* Salary £250 to £270 per day (dependent on experience)
