Business Development Manager
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – NORTH UK
Salary: Negotiable + Commission + Car Allowance
Location: Field-Based (North UK)
A growing provider of shoring and temporary works solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive regional growth across the North. Experience in shoring or temporary works is ideal — but strong performers from wider equipment rental, plant hire, or construction hire will also be considered.
This is a role for someone who knows how to open doors, convert opportunities, and take ownership of a territory.
The Role:
* Develop and secure new business across contractors, civil engineers, groundwork companies, and related sectors
* Grow revenue from existing accounts by deepening relationships and expanding product usage
* Visit customer sites to understand project requirements and provide suitable solution proposals
* Manage your pipeline, region and customer relationships with minimal hand-holding
* Collaborate with internal operations and technical teams to ensure smooth delivery and support
What You’ll Need:
* Ideally experience in shoring, temporary works, trench support, formwork or related equipment hire
* Will also consider proven sales success in plant hire, construction equipment rental, or tool hire
* Confident relationship builder who can influence both site-level users and commercial decision-makers
* Self-sufficient, proactive, and motivated by generating revenue rather than waiting for leads
* Full UK driving licence
