Site Manager

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to deliver a range of refurbishment and small works projects as part of the Stansted Airport Framework. Typical schemes include terminal refurbishments, toilet upgrades, car park improvements, and small new-build operational facilities.

The role involves managing day-to-day site operations within a live airport environment, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all site activities, supervising subcontractors and direct labour.

Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and airport operational requirements.

*

Manage short-duration programmes, coordinating trades and logistics efficiently.

*

Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions.

*

Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

*

Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and H&S documentation.

*

Liaise closely with the Project Manager, client representatives, and airport authorities.

*

Manage site logistics, security, and access controls in line with airport procedures.

*

Drive productivity and ensure handovers are completed to schedule.

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial or infrastructure refurbishment projects (£2m–£5m).

*

SMSTS (or SSSTS), CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certification.

*

Strong knowledge of H&S regulations and RAMS management.

*

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

*

Experience working in live or secure environments (airport experience desirable).

*

Trade or construction management background.
