M & E Quantity Surveyor – Devonport

My client is looking to appoint an experienced M & E Quantity Surveyor to join this rapidly growing and successful part of the business. Based down on Devonport Dockyard, you will be involved in the delivery of the multi-million pound upgrade programme of works – exciting stuff!

The Role:

As the M&E QS, you'll be primarily responsible for the Civils and Infrastructure Package and to work alongside a high-profile team and be the face of the commercial delivery

Responsible for the commercial management of these work packages, you'll work with a great team and have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of work 

Key Responsibilities 

Responsible for the commercial management of subcontract packages from procurement to final account.
Establishes cost control systems including administering client and subcontract changes.
Establishes risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms.
Mitigates risks and protect package/project margin.
Enhances profit by seeking opportunities through change and cost reduction measures such as value engineering.
Operates and collaborates as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You'll need to have:

Ideally, at least 5 years in a standalone QS role, ideally for a civil engineering or M & E Contractor. You'll also have:

A degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management (or equivalent).
CSCS card
