Junior Solar PV Installer

Vision Personnel is working with an established client looking for a Junior Solar PV Installer to join their team.

Please be advised, you will need to be based 15/20 miles away from Orpington for qualify for this role.

The role involves assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential (new housing developers) and commercial properties. No prior experience is necessary, but a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are essential. Training will be provided.

Key responsibilities:

* Assist in the installation of solar PV systems, including mounting panels, wiring, and connecting inverters

* Work under the supervision of experienced installers and electricians to ensure safe and efficient installations

* Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry regulations

* Load, unload, and transport materials and tools to and from job sites

* Help with system maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs

* Maintain a clean and organised work environment

* Communicate effectively with team members and customers

Requirements:

* Interest in renewable energy and solar technology

* Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

* Comfortable with working at heights and using ladders

* Basic understanding of hand and power tools

* Strong teamwork and communication skills

* Willingness to learn and take direction

* Valid driver’s license (preferred)

Preferred experience:

* Previous construction, roofing, or electrical experience.

* Basic knowledge of electrical systems
