Site Engineer

Kenton Black are recruiting for a permanent Site Engineer vacancy based in Scotland.

Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation across Scotland, is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Site Engineer to support a growing portfolio of infrastructure and groundworks projects. If you thrive in a fast-paced site environment and enjoy problem-solving on the ground, this role offers a rewarding opportunity—with a competitive salary of £40,000–£55,000 per annum DOE, plus company vehicle and fuel card.

Key Responsibilities:

– Set out and survey works in accordance with project drawings and specifications
– Ensure quality control and compliance with health and safety standards on site
– Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery
– Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports and as-built documentation
– Assist in planning and coordinating daily site activities
– Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support to site teams
– Monitor materials and resources to ensure efficient use and minimal waste

What You Bring:

– Proven experience as a Site Engineer in civil engineering or construction
– Proficiency in setting out using GPS, total station, and AutoCAD
– Strong understanding of groundworks, drainage, and infrastructure works
– Excellent communication and organisational skills
– Ability to work independently and manage multiple site tasks
– Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications
