Business Development Manager – Renewables
We are a specialist recruitment partner to the renewable energy sector, supporting EPC contractors, developers, and consultancies delivering large-scale solar and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) projects.
We are growing fast and seeking an ambitious Business Development Recruitment Consultant with a proven background in solar or renewable energy recruitment to help expand our client base across the UK and Europe.
The Role
This is a client acquisition and relationship-led role for a recruiter who thrives on building partnerships within the clean energy space.
You will focus on developing new accounts and supplying white-collar technical and project delivery professionals to solar farm projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify, engage, and win new clients across the renewables and solar farm construction sector.
*
Manage the full 360° recruitment process for white-collar roles including:
*
Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors (Electrical/Mechanical), and Engineers.
*
Build and maintain strong client relationships through networking, calls, and site visits.
*
Work closely with EPCs, developers, and O&M providers to understand workforce demands.
*
Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and rate agreements.
*
Monitor market trends to identify new business opportunities in solar, and BESS.
*
Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure timely, high-quality candidate supply.
About You
You are commercially driven, confident in a client-facing environment, and have a solid understanding of the solar and renewables market.
Essential Experience:
*
2+ years’ experience in BDM / Recruitment Consultant roles within renewables, solar, or technical construction sectors.
*
Proven track record of generating new business and securing PSL or retained agreements.
*
Strong knowledge of white-collar recruitment (project management, engineering, site supervision).
*
Excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills.
*
Self-motivated with a genuine passion for clean energy and sustainability.
Desirable:

Existing client relationships within UK solar EPCs or developers.
*
Experience recruiting across energy storage, grid, or transmission projects.
