The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager with an exceptional network and black book of contacts across the health, education, and leisure sectors. This is a key strategic role, responsible for identifying, securing, and nurturing new business opportunities while deepening existing relationships.

You’ll work closely with the Board, Pre-Construction, and Bid Teams to drive growth in target markets and ensure the company continues to win meaningful, sustainable projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the company’s business development strategy for target sectors (Health, Education, Leisure).

Identify and pursue new project opportunities and framework positions.

*

Utilise your existing client, consultant, and architect relationships to generate leads.

*

Attend industry events, networking opportunities, and sector-specific forums to raise company profile.

*

Work collaboratively with the estimating and bid teams to support tender submissions.

*

Provide market intelligence on competitor activity, upcoming projects, and framework opportunities.

*

Prepare and present business development reports and pipeline updates to the Board.

About You:

Proven experience as a Business Development Manager within a main contractor or Tier 1/2 construction environment.

*

Strong existing network (“black book”) across healthcare, education, and leisure clients.

*

Deep understanding of the full bid-to-delivery lifecycle.

*

Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

*

Strategic thinker who can spot and create opportunities.

*

Self-motivated, confident, and commercially astute.
