Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Flexible, 30–40 hours per week

About the Role

Our client, a reputable environmental testing and consultancy company based in Leicester, is seeking a P401-qualified Laboratory Analyst to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for either an entry-level candidate looking to develop their career in asbestos analysis or an experienced analyst seeking a new opportunity in a professional, well-equipped laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct asbestos bulk analysis in accordance with HSG248 and UKAS accreditation requirements

*

Record and report analytical results accurately using laboratory systems and procedures

*

Maintain quality and safety standards within the laboratory

*

Handle, store and dispose of samples in line with company and legal requirements

*

Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall efficiency of the laboratory

Key Requirements

*

BOHS P401 qualification (Essential)

*

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work

*

Good communication and record-keeping skills

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

*

Previous laboratory experience is desirable but not essential for entry-level applicants

Salary and Benefits

Entry / Junior Level: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum

*

Mid-Level (Qualified / Experienced): £30,000 – £35,000 per annum

*

Flexible working hours (30–40 hours per week)
