An award-winning architectural practice based in Colchester is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join their ambitious and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and design-focused individual with strong technical expertise to take a leading role in delivering a wide range of projects across the UK. The practice works across multiple sectors, including residential, mixed-use, education, commercial, industrial, master planning, and health & special care. You will play a key part in shaping the practice's creative and strategic direction while managing projects and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver architectural projects from concept to completion
Contribute to the strategic growth and development of the practice
Manage and mentor junior architects and assistants
Represent the practice at client meetings, presentations, and networking events
Produce and review detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Liaise confidently with clients, consultants, and contractors
Ensure compliance with building regulations and planning requirements
Oversee on-site construction to maintain quality and meet deadlines
Support business development and strengthen client relationships
About You
ARB or RIBA registered with substantial UK-based experience
Strong design and technical skills with excellent Revit proficiency
Proven experience delivering projects within the commercial and education sectors
Confident communicator with strong client-facing and presentation abilities
Highly motivated, organised, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong leadership, coordination, and mentoring skills
Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations, planning, and construction processes
