The Role
As SHEQ Manager, you will play a key leadership role in shaping, implementing, and driving the company’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) strategy.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll ensure compliance, maintain certifications, and promote a proactive, safety-first culture across all operational sites and depots.
You’ll lead by example – setting standards, guiding teams, and making sure SHEQ excellence remains at the heart of everything the business does.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the company’s SHEQ strategy and policies.

Oversee Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems across all UK sites.
*
Lead audits, inspections, and training to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
*
Manage incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions.
*
Maintain ISO certifications and liaise with external auditors and certification bodies.
About You
*
Proven experience in a SHEQ or Health & Safety management role.
*
Preferably experience gained within a related industry i.e. construction or plant hire
*
NEBOSH Certificate (minimum) or equivalent qualification.
*
Strong knowledge of PUWER, LOLER, and UK safety legislation.
*
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a hands-on approach.
*
Willingness to travel nationally (approx. 2 nights per week).
*
Full UK Driving Licence.
*
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
