The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and an expanding portfolio of projects, our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of refurbishment and construction schemes, including listed buildings and heritage sites, as well as modern commercial and residential projects. You will play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts

* Undertake tendering, procurement, and subcontractor management

* Evaluate variations, valuations, and final accounts

* Monitor project costs and provide accurate financial reports to senior management

* Support contract administration and ensure compliance with company and client standards

* Work collaboratively with project teams, site managers, and clients to ensure commercial success

* Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost efficiency

* Maintain the company’s strong reputation for integrity, fairness, and client satisfaction

About You

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the refurbishment and/or construction industry

* Experience in public sector, heritage, or listed building projects (advantageous)

* Strong understanding of JCT contracts and contract administration

* Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills

* Strong organisational and analytical abilities

* A proactive, collaborative approach with a focus on quality and client relationships

* Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred)

* MRICS qualification or working towards membership (desirable)
