Quantity Surveyor

Constructive Moves are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading housing brand in Bedfordshire.

The region operates within the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and East Anglia region and show a commitment to building homes of high quality design.

This role needs someone with a background in house building or residential contracting who can demonstrate the following:

– Manage the subcontract procurement process
– Oversee subcontractor accounts from initial valuation to final account
– Control variations ensuring best value
– Re-appraise initial Land Appraisals up to commencement appraisal, including COINS management
– Produce accurate Bi-Monthly Cost Value Reconciliations, managing risks and reporting to senior teams
– Manage relationships with Housing Associations & Employers Agents
– Ensure third party rebate information is maximised
– Conduct project-specific value engineering
– Observe new contracts and price increase requests
– Conduct regular site visits and meetings

Skills and experience needed:

– Degree level Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent
– Experience in a housebuilder, main contractor, or similar
– Expertise in managing subcontract accounts and producing CVRs
– Proficient in MS Office and COINS
– Ability to prioritise under pressure and meet strict deadlines
