Building Management Systems (BMS) Engineer – Dublin

Salter Grange is currently seeking an experienced Building Management Systems (BMS) Engineer to join a leading construction project in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with strong technical knowledge of BMS and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) to take ownership of system design, coordination, installation, and commissioning through to handover.

The successful candidate will manage the Specialist Systems Integrator (SI) across all project phases including Health and Safety, Quality, Design, Pre-Construction, and Commissioning. You will coordinate M&E contractor installations related to BMS and EPMS works and ensure compliance with all Health and Safety and Quality Management procedures.

You will play a key role within the project delivery team, collaborating closely with CSA and MEP teams to support automation and integration across multiple work packages. Reporting directly to the Project MEP Lead, this role requires a hands-on engineer with strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the design and implementation of BMS and EPMS systems
• Coordinate with engineering teams to deliver systems in line with project specifications
• Liaise with SI and installing contractors to ensure seamless integration and delivery
• Provide technical guidance and support to ensure project success
• Oversee automation works to ensure timely and cost-effective completion
• Understand and deliver on client expectations for automation and monitoring systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within BMS and EPMS systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clients, contractors, vendors, and commissioning agents
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure system reliability and performance

Experience Required:
• Proven track record managing BMS and EPMS projects
• Strong understanding of BMS technologies, protocols, and industry standards
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience working with installing and commissioning contractors
• Project management experience is an advantage
• Familiarity with relevant software and programming languages

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
