Senior Planning Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure projects, with a focus on oil & gas, nuclear, and civil engineering sectors, lead planning activities, and play a key role in keeping schemes on track from concept through to completion.

What you'll be doing

Developing, maintaining, and monitoring project programmes for infrastructure sectors including transport, utilities, and civil engineering

Preparing reports, risk assessments, and progress updates for clients and project teams

Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to identify and resolve potential delays

Reviewing contractor programmes and ensuring compliance with project milestones

Mentoring junior planners and supporting the wider project team

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Planning Engineer, ideally in infrastructure or construction consultancy

Strong knowledge of planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar)

Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively

Proactive and solution-focused approach

What's on offer

Salary £65,000 – £70,000
