Quantity Surveyor
A dynamic and forward-thinking construction consultancy is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor seeking long-term progression in a collaborative and sustainability-driven environment.
The Quantity Surveyor
This East Midlands-based SME has an expanding national presence and delivers a wide range of projects across the public and private sectors, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and positive social impact. The successful Quantity Surveyor will join an established cost management team and play a key role in supporting projects from early feasibility through to completion.
The Quantity Surveyor will work across a broad portfolio, including education, local authority, mixed-use and regeneration schemes, with exposure to wider project and contract management responsibilities. This is an ideal position for a Quantity Surveyor with approximately 2+ years' experience in a consultancy environment and a desire to broaden their skillset within a multidisciplinary setting.
Quantity Surveyor responsibilities:
Producing cost plans, BOQs, valuations, and final accounts
Supporting projects from inception to completion
Assisting with Contract Administration and Project Management
Working closely with clients and internal teams
Supporting life cycle costing and sustainability-led initiatives
Managing multiple projects and contributing to business developmentQuantity Surveyor requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
Minimum 2 years' experience in a UK consultancy environment
Knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts preferred
Strong IT, communication, and organisational skills
Experience with public sector/local authority projects advantageous
Interest in sustainability, MEP, or life cycle costing is a plus
Working towards MRICS or similar professional qualification desirable
