💰 Salary: Up to £65k- £70k per annum (depending on experience)
📍 Location: Sidcup – covering London and the City
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Electrical Contracts Manager / Estimator to join our professional and growing team.
This is a client-facing position that blends technical expertise, project management, and commercial acumen. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate quotations, managing projects from inception to completion, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
While primarily focused on electrical works, an understanding of general building and site works would be highly beneficial, as many of our projects involve close coordination with other trades and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate quotations and estimates for commercial electrical projects, including testing, maintenance, and small works.
Manage electrical contracts from initial enquiry through to completion.
Conduct site surveys and liaise directly with clients to assess requirements and provide both technical and commercial advice.
Coordinate and supervise on-site teams, ensuring all works are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Manage project budgets, procurement, and resource planning effectively.
Ensure full compliance with electrical, building, and Health & Safety regulations.
Maintain and develop strong, long-term client and supplier relationships.
Support business growth by identifying opportunities for service improvement and client value.
Requirements
Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
Proven experience in quoting, estimating, and managing commercial electrical contracts.
Strong background in commercial installations, testing, and maintenance.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
Solid understanding of current electrical regulations and industry best practices.
A good grasp of general building and site works would be advantageous.
Full UK driving licence required.
