Freelance Quantity Surveyor – High Rise Scheme 

Location: Leeds

Contract: Freelance / Outside IR35

Duration: 1-2 months (potential extension)

Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction contractor on a major high-rise residential development in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a landmark city centre project, working alongside an established commercial and project management team.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all cost-related aspects of the high-rise scheme from procurement through to final accounts.

Prepare and assess subcontractor payments, variations, and valuations.

Support monthly cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Liaise with site teams, design consultants, and the client to ensure commercial objectives are met.

Provide accurate cost advice and contribute to value engineering and risk management strategies.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on high-rise residential or commercial projects.

Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts and construction processes.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams.

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

Immediate availability preferred.
