Location: Greater Manchester (with nationwide travel)
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum + company vehicle or car allowance

Our client is a leading specialist façade contractor operating nationwide. They deliver complex building envelope solutions on both major new-build developments and high-risk building remediation schemes. Acting as both principal contractor and specialist sub-contractor, they're trusted to deliver high-profile, large-scale façade projects for blue-chip clients and tier-one contractors throughout the UK.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Contracts Manager to oversee multiple façade projects across the UK. Reporting to the senior leadership team, this role will take responsibility for the commercial and operational delivery of projects from contract award through to completion – ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. The position involves nationwide travel and offers a great opportunity to work with a market-leading business in a thriving sector.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of multiple façade and external envelope contracts across the UK.
Oversee the full contract lifecycle – from tender handover and mobilisation through to completion and client sign-off.
Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and commercial performance.
Ensure full compliance with contractual terms, health and safety regulations, and company quality standards.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, main contractors, and supply chain partners.
Lead project teams and site staff to achieve performance targets, ensuring effective coordination and communication across all stakeholders.
Identify risks and opportunities, managing variations, claims, and change control processes.
Provide accurate progress updates and reports to senior management.
Promote a positive, safety-focused culture and uphold the company's values and reputation across all projects.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven track record as a Contracts Manager (or similar senior position) within the façade, cladding, or external envelope sector.
Strong commercial and contractual understanding with experience managing high-value projects.
Excellent leadership and team-management skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
In-depth technical knowledge of façade systems, including cladding, brick slips, render, and EWI.
Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build credibility at all levels.
Flexible and willing to travel nationwide as required.
Full UK driving licence essential.
Relevant degree or professional qualification (desirable).
