Project Manager – Groundworks & Structural Steel

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £75,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Pension

Start Date: January (Hiring within the next 5 weeks)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee groundworks and structural steel works for an upcoming project in Cambridge. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of works involving the installation of chemical cylinder structures and related systems.

You will be working for a well-established, privately-owned multi-service organisation that has built its reputation over decades by delivering complex construction and infrastructure solutions across multiple sectors. Known for its direct decision-making and self-performance capability, the company serves some of the UK’s largest organisations and demands high standards of delivery, quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all groundworks and structural steel operations on-site.

Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.

Oversee budgets, timelines, and quality assurance.

Ensure compliance with company and HSE standards.

Provide progress updates and reporting to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

Proven experience managing groundworks and structural steel projects.

Strong technical understanding of construction methods and sequencing.

Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

Ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

Package:

£75,000 annual salary

£5,000 car allowance
