Shift Engineer (Data Centre)

Location: Woking
Salary: £48,000 – £50,000

We are seeking a Shift Engineer to support the safe and reliable operation of a mission-critical data centre environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and monitoring electrical and mechanical infrastructure, ensuring uptime and excellent service delivery. This role involves working within a shift rotation and supporting both planned and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance, testing, and monitoring of critical plant and systems.
Troubleshoot electrical & mechanical faults and respond to incidents.
Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure compliance with site procedures.
Maintain documentation, asset records, and operating procedures.
Support planning and execution of critical switching, isolation, and maintenance activities.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous service improvement.Essential Skills & Experience:

Background in data centres or mission-critical environments.
Strong working knowledge of:
HV/LV distribution, UPS, Generators
Chillers, CRAC/CRAH, pumps, cooling systems
BMS control & monitoring systems
Practical experience with electrical and/or mechanical fault finding.
Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment.
Vocational / Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical discipline.What's on Offer:
