Contracts Manager – Demolitions
An opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of civil engineering projects across Bristol, Gloucester and Cardiff. You’ll be the commercial guardian for projects, ensuring contractual compliance, margin protection and strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
• Contract Leadership: Manage contracts across multiple live projects in the Bristol, Gloucester and Cardiff areas, ensuring obligations and deliverables are met.
• Commercial Management: Lead commercial activities including valuation of variations, change control, cashflow forecasting and cost-to-complete reporting.
• Client & Subcontractor Relations: Act as the primary commercial point of contact, resolving disputes, negotiating terms and strengthening long-term client relationships.
• Risk & Claims Management: Identify contractual risks, prepare claims when appropriate and implement mitigation strategies.
• Tender Support: Work with estimating and operations teams to review tender documents, input commercial assumptions and support bid pricing.
 • Reporting & Governance: Provide regular commercial reports and support senior leadership on contract performance and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
• Background in commercial or contracts roles within civils, groundworks or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 and standard forms of contract.
• Experienced with valuation, change control and contractual claims.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a commercial mindset.
 • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with commercial reporting tools is advantageous.

Location & Travel
Role focused on projects in Bristol, Gloucester and Cardiff – you should be comfortable with regional travel and occasional overnight stays.
