Freelance Quantity Surveyor – Tier 1 Commercial Fit Out (City of London)

Rate: £300–£400/day DOE
Contract: 3-month initial term (likely extension)

We are working with a leading Tier 1 fit-out contractor delivering a high-profile £6M commercial office scheme in the City of London and are seeking a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial function on live works.

This role will focus on managing change, ensuring robust commercial governance, and supporting the project team on fast-moving packages in a live environment. The ideal candidate will be confident operating autonomously and accustomed to the pace and expectations of top-tier delivery projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage variations and change control across M&E and build packages

*

Cost reporting, forecasting, and commercial tracking

*

Subcontractor management, including applications and valuations

*

Provide commercial support to project and delivery teams

*

Preparation towards final accounts

What We’re Looking For:

*

Proven experience in Cat A / Cat B commercial fit-out

*

Background with a Tier 1 contractor or leading fit-out specialist

*

Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage change effectively

*

Able to integrate quickly into a live team and hit the ground running

*

Available to start at short notice
