Overview

We’re hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead civil engineering projects from cradle to completion. You’ll drive safe, timely and commercially sound delivery across multi-discipline sites while keeping clients and the team smiling.

Key Responsibilities

• Health, Safety & Environment: Champion health and safety on every project and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures.
• Project Planning & Delivery: Create, maintain and own project programmes, budgets, resourcing plans and risk registers. Deliver projects on time, to quality and within an agreed budget.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and coordinate engineers, site staff, subcontractors and consultants to create a high performing delivery team.
• Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, suppliers and internal stakeholders through clear, professional communication.
• Commercial & Cost Control: Work with commercial colleagues to manage costs, forecasts and change; identify opportunities for efficiency and cost saving.
• Risk & Quality Management: Identify, assess and mitigate risks; implement quality control checks and site inspections.
• Contract Administration: Oversee the execution and compliance of subcontract and supply contracts, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
 • Reporting & Documentation: Produce regular progress reports, financial updates, programmes and handover documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• CSCS Manager / Professionally Qualified card (or equivalent). NVQ Level 6 or similar is desirable.
• SMSTS (minimum) with demonstrable CPD in health and safety.
• Proven track record delivering civils or groundworks projects as a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager.
• Competent with Microsoft Office 365 and MS Project.
• Familiarity with NEC3/NEC4 (advantageous) and sound commercial awareness.
 • Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
