We’re looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join a well-known construction and civil engineering business based in Watford. This is a hands-on role working across major infrastructure and building projects, ideal for a Senior Design Engineer with strong temporary works or structural design experience.

As a Senior Design Engineer, you’ll be:

Leading designs and reviewing drawings and calculations

Working closely with site teams to deliver practical, buildable solutions

*

Providing guidance and mentoring to junior engineers

*

Ensuring all design work meets current standards and project requirements

As a Senior Design Engineer, you’ll need:

Around 5+ years’ experience in temporary works or structural design

*

Experience within a contractor or consultancy environment

*

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Chartered or working towards)

*

Strong technical knowledge and a proactive, hands-on approach
