Site Engineer – Quality

Matchtech are recruiting for a Site Engineer to come and work for a major Tier 1 construction company on a permanent basis in Wakefield (WF4 3GN).

This position is paying a starting salary of £37,000 per annum + £5000 car allowance + travel. As a Site Engineer, you will join the team delivering Schemes under the National Highways SDF contract across the North of England.

Responsibilities –

· Assist in the production and management of site documentation:

· Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)

· Construction Phase Plans (CPP)

· Support commercial teams with take-offs and Early Warning Notices (EWNs)

· Liaise with Principal Designers during Early Contractor Involvement (ECI)

· Assist Agents with scheme programming and delivery

· Manage and coordinate subcontractors on site with direction from Agents/PM's.

The ideal candidate will have –

· Experience in highways or civil infrastructure projects

· Strong understanding of quality assurance and site documentation

· Commercial awareness and ability to support cost tracking

· Be a confident communicator with design and delivery teams

· Be IT literate with working knowledge of AutoCAD

· Have familiarity with CEMAR or similar project management platforms

Qualifications:

· Essential: HNC/HND in Construction and the Built Environment (Civils Pathway)

· Desirable: Degree-level qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline

· CSCS card, SMSTS – Desirable although Winvic will support candidates to obtain all relevant site base competencies.
