Development Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Development Engineer to join a reputable regional housebuilder delivering high-quality residential developments across Yorkshire.

You'll join a supportive and collaborative technical team, playing a key role in managing the engineering aspects of new housing projects from land appraisal through to site completion. This role would suit someone with 1-3 years' experience in civil engineering or residential development who's looking to grow their career within a well-structured business that values development, balance, and flexibility.

Key responsibilities:

Assist with engineering appraisals during land feasibility and acquisition stages

Support the coordination of external consultants for highways, drainage, and infrastructure design

Help manage technical approvals (S38, S104, S278) and liaise with relevant authorities

Coordinate utility designs and service connections for new developments

Provide technical support to construction teams during the build phase

Ensure compliance with local authority, NHBC, and company standards

What we're looking for:

1-3 years' experience in a development, engineering, or construction-related role

Local knowledge of the Yorkshire region and its authorities

You must have local experience, no visa sponsorship is available for this role.
Background in housebuilding, residential, or infrastructure construction

Understanding of roads, drainage, and utility coordination

Strong attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented approach
