We're on the lookout for a Trainee Contracts Manager to join our well-established client based in Loughborough on a full time, permanent basis.

Salary: £24,761.88 per annum

The Role:

As a Trainee Contracts Manager, you will support the contracts team to deliver and complete contracts for our client. The aim is always that contracts should be delivered safely on time, on budget, without defects and to the satisfaction of the Client. Emphasis is to be placed on Health and Safety matters, design management and good housekeeping to meet the on and off-site requirements of the project.

This role would suit someone starting their career, or someone who is looking to change industry. The plan is to encourage genuine progression with this role because a funded level 3 diploma can be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

· To learn, develop your skills to support the contracts team to deliver client /contractor relationships to ensure the successful delivery of the contracts and maximise any opportunity for repeat business.

· To learn, develop your skills to support internal and external business relationships with managers and key account executives who have influence over existing and future business opportunities.

· To learn, develop your skills to support the contracts team. Ensure and maintain professional and competent management and motivation of all team members engaged on your projects.

· To learn, develop your skills to support and maintain high standards of safety and organisation in your work, maintain good KPI and client feedback ratings. Ensuring that work is programmed in detail to mitigate potential risk and manage critical areas whilst providing performance related commercial opportunity.

· To learn, develop your skills and support sub-contractors to ensure that they provide sufficient resources to meet the outputs identified in the program, monitoring and recording the outputs to ensure that proper and timely valuations and/or withholding notices are issued.

· To learn, develop your skills to support Contract Manager to establish clear lines of responsibility and accountability for persons engaged on each contract and manage the chain of responsibility with appropriate direct reporting.

· To learn, develop your skills to support and maintain the proper and timely completion of all records required under the quality, environmental and safety systems, our production management systems and our procurement and requisition systems.

· Work to specific KPI targets and complete as required by the company systems.

· To learn, develop your skills to support the contracts QS to produce accurate monthly contract value assessments which are to be issued by the QS in a timely manner to coincide with the Head of Contracts monthly board reporting requirement.

· Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform and discharge the requirements of the contract,

· Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills required to fulfil the role.

Essential Requirements:

Committed to learn and develop to contract management.
Excellent communication skills – internally with other departments and maintain strong relationships externally with suppliers and customers
Ability to carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision and thrive both on own initiative and as part of a team.
Full UK driving licence.
Highly efficient and organised mindset.
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders
Good IT skills and knowledge in Excel and Word
