Protection Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking a Protection Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic construction consultancy team in the South West (Devon). The role involves supporting a portfolio of public and private sector clients, acting as their representative to ensure the best outcomes for repair, planned, or reactive works.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for:

Delivering comprehensive surveying services across commercial, residential, public, and private sector projects.
*
Assessing buildings for structural and dilapidation checks.
*
Acting as an agent for clients to ensure the best deals and outcomes.
*
Managing a caseload of multiple projects across diverse industries.
*
Contributing to high-profile schemes shaping the South West.
Responsibilities:
*
Provide support throughout project lifecycles, from concept to final delivery.
*
Apply expertise in pre-contract and post-contract phases across all RIBA work stages.
*
Administer contracts, with JCT knowledge essential and NEC experience advantageous.
*
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
*
Transform complex project data into clear, accessible reports and presentations.
*
Integrate sustainable construction practices and social value principles into projects.
Skills Required:
*
Minimum 2 years’ consultancy experience within a Quantity Surveying function.
*
Pursuing or holding professional accreditation such as MRICS.
*
Cross-sector experience, essential in residential projects; commercial/infrastructure experience desirable.
*
Competent in autonomous project management across multiple projects.
*
Strong contract administration skills (JCT essential; NEC advantageous).
*
Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
*
Proficient in Microsoft 365 and cost management platforms such as CADMeasure or iTWO CostX.
*
Awareness of B Corporation principles and environmentally conscious construction practices.
Qualifications:
*
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
