Esitmator

A well-established and respected construction and civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its growing team based in Wakefield.

Role Overview: The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a variety of construction and civil engineering projects. The role involves taking off quantities, producing Bills of Quantities, and ensuring all estimates are delivered on time and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and production of Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and detailed cost estimates.
Analysis of drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
Obtaining competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
Liaising with project managers, clients, and design teams.
Supporting value engineering and cost planning activities throughout the project lifecycle. Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as an Estimator within construction or civil engineering.
Strong understanding of Bills of Quantities, take-offs, and estimating software.
Excellent numerical accuracy and analytical ability.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a commercial team.
