Electrical Contracts Manager
The Company
This is a growing, design-and-build electrical contractor with a turnover of around £1M.
Led by two experienced directors, the business delivers high-quality electrical installations for a select group of main contractors and developers — mainly office and commercial design & build projects throughout the Midlands.
They are now looking to appoint their first management-level hire to support the directors and help take the business to the next stage of growth.
The Role
Working directly alongside the directors — one overseeing site delivery and the other managing commercial operations — you’ll take on a broad management position covering both pre-construction and project delivery.
Responsibilities include:
*
Preparing and reviewing estimates, tenders and quotations
*
Managing the commercial, procurement and administrative aspects of projects
*
Liaising with main contractors, suppliers and clients
*
Helping implement improved systems and procedures
*
Providing input on design, coordination and delivery planning
Although based in West Yorkshire, you’ll need to travel regularly to sites and clients across the Midlands and wider UK.
This isn’t a pure estimating role — it’s a hands-on, varied position offering real scope to influence how the business develops.
The Person
We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator, Project Engineer or Contracts Manager who’s ready for a more rounded management role.
You should have:
*
A strong background in electrical contracting within commercial building services
*
Experience preparing tenders and managing projects
*
Excellent commercial awareness and client-facing skills
*
The motivation to help shape and grow a developing business
The Package
* Salary up to £60,000
*
Car / Allowance + Benefits Package
*
Genuine long-term progression within the senior management team
