Role Overview
The BIM Coordinator will be an integral part of the Design team, responsible for developing and managing coordinated mechanical and electrical models for large-scale construction projects. The position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with engineers, site teams, and contractors to ensure design accuracy and buildability.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce and coordinate detailed MEP models and drawings to support project delivery.
* Attend design and coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Ensure that all models and drawings are up to date and aligned with current project revisions.
* Generate Revit models from engineer inputs, design data, and technical sketches.
* Create bespoke Revit families when manufacturer components are unavailable.
* Develop models for prefabricated assemblies and modular systems used in offsite manufacturing.
* Lead clash detection and resolution between multiple disciplines.
* Maintain and manage project models on BIM360/ACC and update related reports.
* Support engineers and project managers with BIM-related tasks throughout each project stage.
* Integrate cloud point survey data into 3D models when required.
* Adhere to project-specific BIM standards and procedures.
* Comply with all company health, safety, and quality management policies.
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrable experience using Revit MEP within the construction or building services industry.
* Qualification in BIM, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) preferred.
* Strong organisational, communication, and technical documentation skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and meet project deadlines.
