Site Manager (Civils)

Overview

We are looking for a Site Manager with a strong civils background for a battery energy storage project in Southampton. The role involves managing civils and groundwork packages from start through to completion, including drainage, ducting, concrete slabs, and associated infrastructure.

This is a live site and you will be responsible for coordinating direct labour, subcontractors, and ensuring CDM compliance across the project.

Responsibilities

* Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure HSEQ standards are met

* Manage civils packages including earthworks, ducting, and foundations

* Coordinate subcontractors and direct operatives

* Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks and manage site documentation

* Ensure programme deadlines and quality standards are achieved

* Liaise with the client, engineers and management team on progress

Requirements

* SMSTS

* First Aid

* CSCS (Black or Gold card preferred)

* Previous experience on civils, infrastructure or battery storage projects

* Strong understanding of CDM and site compliance

* Ability to lead site teams effectively and manage subbies

* Local to Southampton or commutable distance
