Senior Quantity Surveyor – Watford (Main Contractor)
Location: Watford
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Permanent (paid as Freelancer / Day Rate)
Rate: Equivalent to £75,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Watford. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional with a strong background working for a main contractor to take on a long-term, stable role with the flexibility of freelance payment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all commercial and financial aspects of projects from inception to completion

Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, valuations, and final accounts

*

Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance

*

Provide accurate forecasting and cost reporting to senior management

*

Ensure compliance with contract terms and company procedures

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor (essential)

*

Strong understanding of construction contracts (JCT / NEC)

*

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

*

Able to work independently and manage multiple projects

*

Available to start immediately

Package:

Permanent position (paid via day rate as a freelancer)

Competitive remuneration equivalent to £75,000 per annum
