The Client:
A reputable and well-established main contractor, this business specialises in delivering residential developments on a contracting basis across East Anglia. Known for their attention to detail, strong client relationships, and hands-on approach to construction, the company continues to grow steadily through repeat business. As part of this continued success, they are now seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team, with initial sites based in Hertfordshire.
The Role:
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of residential construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with project and commercial teams, you’ll coordinate subcontractors, manage site operations, and maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders. Responsibilities:
• Oversee all site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.
• Manage subcontractors, materials, and logistics to maintain quality and progress.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to support smooth project delivery.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain high construction and finish standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Proven experience managing residential construction sites for a main contractor or housebuilder.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple trades.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and site management processes.
• Good technical knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and quality control.
• Based within a commutable distance of their North Essex Head Office, with flexibility to travel to sites across East Anglia as required.
Salary & Package:
• Up to £55,000, dependent on experience.
