Estimator / Senior Estimator – Glasgow

Peace Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a market-leading UK manufacturer and installer of energy-efficient, sustainable, and precision-engineered timber and alu-clad windows and doors as they look to appoint an Estimator / Senior Estimator to their growing commercial team in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business supplying and installing premium products across large-scale housing, new build, and refurbishment projects throughout Scotland.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in the tendering and estimating process — preparing accurate quotations and supporting the wider business in securing and delivering profitable work.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for a range of window and door supply and installation projects.

*

Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess scope and requirements.

*

Liaise with clients, main contractors, and the internal design and production teams to clarify project details.

*

Identify value engineering opportunities to improve project competitiveness.

*

Prepare bills of quantities, take-offs, and pricing schedules.

*

Support the commercial team with cost planning, tender submissions, and project handovers.

*

Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes.

About You

We’re keen to speak with experienced Estimators or Senior Estimators who have worked within construction, manufacturing, joinery, or building envelope environments.

Essential Skills & Experience:

*

Proven experience in an Estimating or Senior Estimating role within a related sector.

*

Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and contract documentation.

*

Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

*

Confident communicator able to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

*

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.

*

Self-motivated, organised, and able to work on multiple tenders at once.
