Estimator

An excellent opportunity for an Estimator has become available to join a reputable Construction Company based in Aberdeen. Reporting to the Estimating Manager you will be responsible for preparing, producing and submitting tenders for Commercial and Residential projects. You will be joining a company who are winning regular contracts which looks to continue into the future.

Main Duties:

* Prepare and submit competitive tenders.

* Obtain materials and subcontractor quotations.

* Prepare take offs from tender documents received.

* Organise and track market price of equipment, material and construction costs.

* Review tender documentation, in order to prepare accurate cost estimation.

* Prepare handover documentation for successful projects and attend internal pre-start meetings.

* Attend tender adjudication meetings and tender interviews where required.

* Support/mentor/train Estimating team members as assigned.

* Supervise work of Estimating team members as assigned.

* Provide cover for the Estimating Manager in his/her absence.

* Follow all health and safety guidelines.

Essential:

* Experience in an Estimating role within the construction industry.

* Competent working on projects ranging between £50k to £20million.

* Demonstrate knowledge of bills of quantities including method of measurement.

* Demonstrate excellent numerical skills to calculate costs.

* Strong time management skills.

* Demonstrate in depth knowledge of budget control.
