Mechanical Engineer – Site Based

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team and take ownership of all mechanical installation activities on-site. This role requires strong leadership, coordination skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring quality and compliance across all stages of delivery.

Responsibilities

* Lead and manage all mechanical installation activities on-site.

* Coordinate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

* Attend progress and commissioning meetings, providing clear updates.

* Report progress to the Project Manager and support the QS with variations.

* Develop and maintain TCL inspection test plans.

* Ensure compliance with TCL health and safety requirements.

* Carry out inspections and audits to ensure quality assurance.

Requirements

* Qualified to Mechanical Engineer/Manager level (trade background considered with evidence of qualifications).

* SMSTS or SSSTS certification.

* Black CSCS Manager Card.

* Proven experience in healthcare projects is an advantage, with HTM knowledge desirable but not essential.

* Strong experience with chilled water systems, LTHW systems, domestic water systems, BMS, medical gases, and pneumatic tube systems.

* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive performance and maintain high standards.
