A Tier 1 leading main contractor is seeking a talented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a large-scale £80m residential development in Acton. The Role
As an Assistant QS, you will work alongside experienced Senior and Commercial Managers, gaining hands-on experience across all commercial aspects of a major residential project. You will be involved from procurement and cost control through to final account, helping to ensure the scheme is delivered on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation of valuations, cost reports, and cashflow forecasts
*
Support in procurement, including subcontractor tenders and package negotiations
*
Monitor and record project costs and assist in managing variations
*
Collaborate with project teams to support commercial and contractual matters
*
Develop your QS skills in a structured and high-profile project environment
Requirements
*
1–3 years’ experience as a QS or Trainee QS within a main contracting environment
*
Exposure to residential projects preferred
*
Strong numeracy, organisation, and attention to detail
*
Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, high-profile project setting
*
Proximity to Acton or willingness to commute
