OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Support Coordinator to assist the Operations Director and Project Managers in delivering high-quality Solar PV projects. This role is integral to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supporting project delivery, and maintaining compliance across design, health & safety, supply chain, and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities1. Solar PV Design Support

Assist in preparing and reviewing preliminary and detailed Solar PV system designs.

Liaise with design engineers and project teams to ensure drawings, layouts, and specifications meet project and regulatory requirements.

Manage documentation for design revisions and approvals.

2. Health & Safety (H&S)

Support the preparation and maintenance of site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

Ensure all H&S documentation is accurate, up to date, and compliant with company and legal standards.

Assist in incident reporting, site audits, and toolbox talks coordination.

3. Supply Chain Coordination

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes, confirm delivery schedules, and manage purchase orders.

Track material deliveries and maintain stock records to support project timelines.

Support supplier evaluations and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.

4. Project Administration

Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and trackers.

Support scheduling, progress tracking, and communication between internal teams and external partners.

Assist in compiling project handover packs, O&M manuals, and compliance records.

5. General Operations Support

Provide administrative support to the Operations Director, including meeting coordination, minute-taking, and reporting.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational systems, templates, and processes.

Skills and ExperienceEssential:

Experience in renewable energy, construction, or electrical contracting sectors.

Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills.

Familiarity with Health & Safety documentation and practices.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with project management or design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PV*SOL, or similar) is an advantage.

Ability to work across multiple projects and manage competing priorities.

Desirable:

Technical understanding of Solar PV systems.

IOSH or NEBOSH certification (or willingness to work towards one).

Experience supporting procurement or supply chain activities.
