The Opportunity

As part of the expansion of the commercial department, the business is seeking an experienced construction professional to join as either a Project Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor, depending on experience.

This is a key role within a close-knit team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of multiple new build residential projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the commercial aspects of one or more live developments, ensuring financial control and cost efficiency throughout.

* Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.

* Lead subcontract procurement, tendering, and valuation processes.

* Oversee subcontractor accounts, variations, and payments.

* Provide regular cost/value reconciliations and commercial reports to senior management.

* Support pre-construction activities, including feasibility costings and build appraisals.

* Contribute to project meetings and maintain strong communication with design, site, and client teams.

Candidate Requirements

* Degree-qualified or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.

* Background in main contracting or residential development, ideally within the North West.

* Experience managing the commercial aspects of multiple new build projects simultaneously.

* Strong understanding of JCT Design & Build contracts.

* Proven negotiation and cost management skills.

* Ability to work independently and within a small, dynamic team.

* Full UK driving licence.
