Our client is a leading M&E Contractor with an exceptional track record of delivering complex, large-scale tier 1 projects. Renowned for their technical capability and commitment to excellence, they are currently seeking an accomplished Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join their delivery team on a new build project.

This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for driving the successful delivery of mechanical services from design coordination through to commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, quality, and commercial performance at every stage.

Senior Mechanical Project Manager Responsibilities:

Lead the mechanical services scope across all project phases — design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.

*

Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including subcontractors, engineers, and supervisors.

*

Oversee all mechanical installations (HVAC, plant, public health, and associated systems) ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.

*

Develop and monitor project programmes, budgets, and resource forecasts.

*

Provide leadership in progress meetings, design reviews, and construction planning discussions.

*

Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with company quality, safety, and environmental standards.

*

Proactively manage risk, change, and commercial performance to maintain profitability.

*

Support commissioning, testing, and client handover activities to ensure a seamless transition.

*

Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the wider project delivery team.

*

Mentor and support junior engineers and site teams, promoting continuous improvement and professional development.

Senior Mechanical Project Manager Requirements:

*

Extensive experience managing large-scale mechanical packages on Tier 1 or major Tier 2 projects.

*

Proven background delivering mechanical systems on commercial projects.

*

Strong technical understanding of Pipefitting & plant systems.

*

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

*

Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

*

In-depth knowledge of construction processes, commissioning, and industry regulations.
